• Kempty Falls, Mussoorie

No trip to Mussoorie is complete without visiting the much-famed Kempty Falls. The location was developed by a British officer in the 1830s for hosting tea parties and ever since, it’s become a well-liked attraction in Mussoorie, especially for picnics.

Perched on the Depot Hill in Landour, Lal Tibba is one among the best viewpoints in Mussoorie. Just 6 km from the city center, this viewpoint rests at an altitude of 2,275 meters so you can only imagine the views from up here. The name of the viewpoint literally translates to Red Hill, which is a direct relation to the color of the sky visible from here during the sunrise and sunset.

On a cloudless day, you’ll be able to view peaks like Bandarpunch, Kedarnath, and Badrinath from this viewpoint. The telescopes installed at Lal Tibba allow you to soak in the beauty of it all from up close.

• Company Garden, Mussoorie

At a distance of around 3 km from Mall Road, the company Garden in Mussoorie makes for an ideal spot to spend quality time together with your family and friends. The complete plan of this garden was laid down by Dr. H Fackner and it’s maintained by the Garden Welfare Association of Mussoorie.

You will find beautiful fountains, lush greenery, colorful birds, and different types of flowers while taking a walk around the garden. If you’re up for it, opt for boating on the lake.

• Char Dukan

Char Dhukaan is a small place near St. Paul’s church. This place is termed sister bazaar. It’s situated on the way to Lal Tibba in Mussoorie. You’ll choose a walk to enjoy the sweetness of this area. If it’s raining you’ll enjoy sitting on benches. And can enjoy delicious foods like pancakes, pakoras, hill station famous Maggie, coffee, and many more.

• IVY Cafe

Cafe Ivy is a recent addition to the famous Char Dukan area. It’s a fun and casual restaurant to possess an excellent dining experience. Music is peppy and so is the place. The stairs leading to the café builds up the interest as they’re beautifully done with a canopy of LED lights and pretty flower pots. One cannot miss an enormous copper kettle placed on top of the restaurant near their billboard.

Like exteriors, the interiors too are very interesting, replete with recycled wood and plenty of vintage stuff, excellent to evoke the mountain feel. The fireplace completes the picture; you’d be tempted to own a cup of freshly brewed coffee. There’s a sit-out deck which overlooks the gorgeous valley.
